Craniosacral Therapy in London, South East London and Devon by Lol Kane
Welcome to the website for Lol Kane, certified Craniosacral Therapist

Listening hands, healing heart

In this work, we receive through listening hands all of what is being communicated by the person we are in therapeutic relationship with.
Part of what is being expressed is the story of that person’s body, and what it holds within. This is communicated through the language of the body - the motion patterns of the tissues, the tide-like expressions and fluctuations of the fluid body, and the expressions of what we call “potency”, the agency whereby patterns of restriction and inertia within the body are resolved and actual healing is effected.

We are so much more than our physical bodies, though. Our hands are connected energetically to the heart, not so much to the physical organ but deeper still, to the heart or core of our being. It is as if our hands are an extension of that deeper heart. Just as in cranial work it can be said we listen from an inner, neutral place, with our senses in balance, the more deeply we listen from within the more we listen from the heart. At the deepest level we listen from a place of intrinsic stillness, equanimity, suchness, where compassion without attachment is naturally present.

It is said that healing takes place when we are heard, and the more deeply we are heard the more deeply we can heal. What can be heard from such a depth of listening? Simply put, everything can - everything we need to be heard to make us whole.
